Justine Albronda
Justine Albronda (1966) completed her study of art history in 1992, and has been focussing wholly on creating paintings of her own since 1995. Her themes are very diverse: she makes paintings and aquarelles of beach scenes, dune flora and townscapes. Though she is particularly well known for her still lifes and for painting self-portraits. Her style was once described as: poetic accuracy. With her playful, impressionistic touch she is able to hold the observer’s attention using colourful details. Her work is as gentle and refined, as it is impassioned and energetic. Justine Albronda won the Rembrandt Painting Award in 2003.
